Confidence Ratings
| Match (home v away) | Pick | Win % | 90% band | 95% band | 99% band | Rating | Stability | Projected Margin | Projected Score (home–away) |
|---|
Market: inverse decimal odds normalised to remove the two-way overround; conditional on a decisive outcome. Statistics: expected home points = (home average scored + away average conceded) / 2; away points similarly. Probability uses a normal approximation with the two teams' sample score standard deviations (fallback 10 points with fewer than two games). Combined: 85% market + 15% statistical probability and margin. Only completed games from earlier weeks in the selected season are used. No home-field adjustment. Score projections are rounded separately. These are uncalibrated heuristic forecasts.
Wilson-style bands are sensitivity illustrations using an assumed effective sample size of 22; they are NOT measured confidence intervals for model accuracy or true game probabilities. Stability uses lower bounds above 50% at 99%, 95%, then 90%; otherwise Fragile.
Selected Week Result Analysis
| Away @ Home | Pick | Forecast | Away final | Home final | Winner | Correct? | Margin error |
|---|
Enter final scores only. Ties count as completed but not correct picks. Margin error uses signed home-minus-away margins. Scores and data are saved in this browser when storage is available. Changing inputs recomputes forecasts; this is not a frozen historical backtest.
Season Statistics (before selected week)
| Team | Games | W–L–T | Win % | Record % | Avg scored | Sample SD | Mode scored | Avg conceded |
|---|
Win % = wins / games. Record % = (wins + 0.5 × ties) / games. All tied modes shown; no mode when every score occurs once. Teams on a bye remain in season statistics.
